Complete Let Down!

Lets just vent with the embarrassing lost that the San Antonio Spurs had last night, a game in which the Spurs easily should have won. Let me start by giving props to Goran Dragic who absolutely torched the Spurs from the end of the 3rd quarter till the end of the game. Dragic basically single handedly beat the entire Spurs 1st team. He ended up with 26 points on 9 for 11 from the field, and 4-4 from the three point line. Something I thought was actually funny that I heard on the broadcast last night was that the Suns had traded for the right to Dragic from the Spurs in the draft two years ago. It was also pretty cool to see Steve Nash go out on the court after the game and give him a huge hug and congratulate and basically giving the Suns the win, They had also said that Dragic's long time idol growing up was Steve Nash, and i'm sure that only made it sweeter. On the other had is the Spurs once again blowing a huge lead, and losing yet another game to go down 0-3. Now if this were to happen every now and then but no, we saw it against Dallas and we've seen the Spurs have a chance to win each of the three game against Phoenix but the difference in this series is that Spurs could get lucky enough against the Mavs to pull off the win, against Phoenix is a completely different story playing against one of the greats Steve Nash. What really makes you sick is that Amare Stoudemire didn't even play in the fourth quarter and Nash barely any. If you can't get it done against the 2nd team then you might as well just call it a season. Once again the Spurs struggled at the line hitting only 16 of 28 free throws, with Duncan going 5-12 from the line, which is absolutely terrible, and Tony Parker going 0 for 4 from the line. I mean come on you get paid millions to play the game of basketball, The free throw shot is the easiest in the game, make a STUPID free throw! Ginobili showed up once against like he has throughout the season and post-season scoring 27 on 10-17 from the field, but once again struggled from beyond the arc, only make 4 of his 9 attempted three point shots. O and big surprise George Hill and Richard Jefferson once again didn't show up only scoring a combined 12 points, with Jefferson having only four in 29 minutes. Its a good known fact now that we know the Spurs can't handle the pick and roll offense, can't switch, just can't defend it at all. You have to admit Phoenix looks good, I mean real good. I see them beating the Lakers in the Conference Finals, and really have a legit shot at the Finals this year. As for the Spurs, they'll win game 4 hopefully, but game 5 back in Phoenix might be the end of the road for a well seasoned Spurs team. Time to evaluate what they have and see about adding some depth to the roster in the off-season, possibly a player who is a pure shooter from beyond the arc? (maybe the should have just re-signed Stephen Jackson back in the day?), hopefully they make some moves somewhere. Guess we'll see how game 4 goes, Until next time.....
